The Movement: Day 7 Music in New York

Partying with friends in NYC

I have the best friends in the world! This weekend I was able to spend the weekend having a blast with my friends Mitchell, Billy, Chris, and Mike. We spent our time celebrating our success of the year and just bonding. If a fella is the sum of his friends then I’m really exponential right now.

The trip itself started off with a Megabus ride from Union Station to Penn Station. The whole way up I spent time editing music that I’d worked on Tuesday and Wednesday and also put together a really cool electronic orchestra track in FLStudio called “whatthehell” (i didn’t know what else to name it). Once I arrived I checked in Aloft Hotel in Brooklyn and met up with Mitchell. We then set of into the night track down the rest of the crew and party all night. We went to Melba’s and had some really great food and then went to a house party in Harlem. The crazy thing was I ran into a friend, Rasheeda, who I haven’t seen in ten years. I love New York City!

We crashed out at around 4 in the morning and I woke up at 8am to start my music power hour NYC Style. I started working on a track inspired by the room view and then Mitch and I grabbed some Jamaican food and headed out to do a little grind session over coffee and cool in the Breukelen Coffehouse. I continued with editing tracks and tried to write lyrics for Recreated. that is an awesome and tough to write words for. I know the finished product is going to be magnificent!
